Airtightness Membrane

Features & Benefits
- BarriAir comes with intergrated lap and sealing tapes and is a multi purpose coated non woven membrane
- Yellow grid across surface is semi translucent promoting single alignment with timber studs or joists
- Provides an airtight system when installed with sealed laps
- Dramatically reduces heat loss through the building fabric
- Improves thermal performance of insulation by reducing convection flows
- Tough, durable and high tear resistance
- Lightweight 1.5x50m rolls
Installation
- BarriAir is installed on the warm side of the structure immediately adjacent to the insulation.
- Applied to both walls and ceilings to significantly reduce air leakage in any structure.
- On one side of the membrane the tape is on the upper surface and on the other side the tape is on the lower surface.
- Unpeel the protection layer and stick the two tapes together as the membrane overlaps.
- Attaching the two tapes together ensures the membrane is jointed and sealed.
- Any mechanical fixing applied through the double layered strips will have reduced air leakage as the adhesive will act as a sealant.
