To be used in conjunction with ICON airbricks
Ensure the cavity sleeves and airbricks are fitted above the DPC at ground floor level. Exact position to be determined on site. High level installation will reduce the effects of draught
The cavity sleeve suits walls up to 275mm overall thickness. If thicker walls are present, two cavity sleeves may be joined, end to end and then trimmed to required length.
It is recommended that a horizontal cavity tray is positioned above the airbrick and cavity sleeve to prevent rainwater tracking across the top of the cavity sleeve.
For background ventilation into a habitable room 5000mm² equivalent area is required.
If ventilating a room with heat producing appliance the volume of free airflow will depend on the type and size of appliance.
9x9 cavity sleeve is made up of 1x9x3 and 1x9x6 components.
