Intumescent Sealant

Uses
- The intumescent acrylic is used to form linear gaps seals, where gaps are present in walls and floor structures and linear joints where wall an floor construction abut
- Used to form a penetration seal around metallic and electrical cables to reinstate the fire resistance performance of wall and floor construction
- Intended function is to reinstate the fire resistance performance of the fire compartment

Installation
- Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry.
- Linear Joint seals: Position appropriate backing material within the gap at the minimum depth to allow for the specified thickness of sealant.
- Linear Joint seals: Gun the sealant into the opening ensuring the gap is fully filled and scrape away any excess material.
- Penetration Seals: Tightly pack mineral wool backing material within the opening, leaving a 10mm depth to the plane of the floor or wall surface on both sides
- Penetration Seals: Gun the sealant onto both exposed face of the mineral wool backing and around the services, ensuring good contact. Scrape away excess.
- Penetration Seals: Tool the surface as required within 30min of application using a wet spatula. Clean tool using soap and water.
